The famous Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit
about barns was sponsored by
the Connecticut Humanities Council

at 7 Hearths during the summer of 2005.

A Bird Barn Silent Auction was held in conjunction with the Smithsonian exhibit.  45 bird houses and bird feeders, built in the shape of barns, were featured in many shops in town.  Proceeds from the Bird Barns went towards the restoration of Seven Hearths.
